CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION
Extraordinary changes are taking place in women's health care today. Driven by scientific
evidence, healthcare professionals understand that treating the body alone is not enough, and that the human mind and resources
outside the realm of allopathic medicine can also play a critical role in preventative care and the healing process.
Over 45% of Americans today
use various choices of alternative health care, and the number among women is even higher. Health care professionals need to identify the safety, efficacy, and potential benefits or risks of the alternatives their patients
are using.
Our 11th Annual Conference
on Integrative Medicine in Women's Health Care is designed to take an in-depth look at a
variety of complementary
alternative treatment modalities, and provide mainstream
medical and nursing
professionals with evidence-based data for some of the health care practices used by and for the female patient.
Topics in this year's conference have been selected based on
extensive target audience needs assessment data, including clinical expert input, online needs
assessment surveys, and past
participant stated needs.
An outstanding faculty has been selected based on their individual areas of expertise, their ability
to communicate practical,
evidence-based knowledge to
others, their commitment to address issues of current concern, and their willingness to interact with participants.
This exciting conference will
provide you with an opportunity to share issues in this subject with colleagues from across
the country in the stimulating,
relaxing, and informal
environment of Santa Fe,
New Mexico.
