CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION

Our 21st Annual National Conference on Women's Health is designed to provide Ob/Gyn, family and internal medicine physicians, nurse midwives, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses and all other healthcare professionals who take care of women with the most current clinical information about the care of the female patient. In addition to the didactic sessions, the conference will also include workshop sessions and discussion periods. The primary goal of the conference is to enhance the knowledge and competence of attendees.

Content for this year's conference has been selected based on extensive target audience needs assessment data, including clinical expert input, online needs assessment survey, and past participant stated needs.

An outstanding faculty has been selected based on their individual areas of expertise, their ability to communicate practical, evidence-based knowledge to others, their commitment to address issues of current concern, and their willingness to interact with participants.

This conference will provide you with an opportunity to share current issues with colleagues from across the country in exciting Las Vegas! You will take home a wealth of information which will help you to better care for your female patients.

ACCREDITATION

This educational activity was planned and produced in accordance with the ACCME and ANCC Essentials and Standards relating to continuing medical and nursing education.

Symposia Medicus is accredited by the Accreditation Council on Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.

Symposia Medicus is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation (ANCC).

Participants should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Certificates of Completion/Credit will be given to participants at the conclusion of the conference.

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT

Physicians
Symposia Medicus designates this educational activity for a maximum of 17 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists has assigned 16 cognate credits to this program.

Application for Prescribed CME credit has also been filed with the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP).

Certified Nurse Midwives/ Physician Assistants
The American College of Nurse Midwives and the American Academy of Physician Assistants accept Category 1 CME approval from organizations accredited by the ACCME.

Nurse Practitioners/Nurses
The ANCC contact hours awarded for the completion of this educational activity is 17.

Provider also approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider # CEP2335, for 20.4 contact hours.

Pharmacology Credit for Prescriptive Authority
A maximum of 3 hours in pharmacology credit for prescriptive authority may be earned by attending this educational conference. Sessions awarding pharmacology credit for prescriptive authority are denoted with an Rx in the schedule.

WORKSHOP SESSIONS

Smaller group workshops will be held Tuesday afternoon. These sessions will give you an opportunity to select subjects relating to your particular area of interest and provide an opportunity for greater interaction with the faculty and other participants. Please indicate your workshop choices on the conference registration form in this brochure. Space is limited, so please reserve early. Workshops you select will be printed on your name badge.

Each registrant will receive an extensive conference syllabus containing pertinent information on each topic presented. In an effort to reduce the environmental impact of printing on paper, this syllabus is available on CD (e-syllabus). You can request an e-syllabus on our conference registration form. By requesting an e-syllabus, you will not receive a paper syllabus. If you request an e-syllabus and bring your laptop to the conference, please be aware that there are no electrical outlets at the conference tables. Make sure your laptop is fully charged each day.
