CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION

This year's 24th Annual Conference on High Risk Obstetrics will focus on how to manage the patient who has an Obstetrical Emergency. This conference will provide the practicing clinician with the knowledge to respond when faced with a life or death situation of the mother and/or fetus. The program has been designed for physicians, certified nurse midwives, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses and other health care professionals who face ever-increasing challenges in the clinical diagnoses, treatment options, and new technologies involved in taking care of obstetrical emergencies.

The goal of this conference is to present current clinical data on key issues in obstetrical emergencies in a format and atmosphere in which treatment options will be presented to manage these challenges. Topics have been selected from past participant conference evaluation requests, clinical expert input, and our on-line needs assessment survey of Obstetric professionals. In addition to the didactic lectures, which will present evidence-based information, ample time has been allotted for participant feedback and interaction.

All speakers are practicing clinicians who face high risk patients and obstetrical emergencies every day. Each speaker has been selected based on their individual areas of expertise, their ability to communicate first-hand knowledge to others, and for their commitment to address clinical issues in a practical manner.

This exciting and unique conference focusing on Obstetrical Emergencies will provide you with an opportunity to share current issues with colleagues from across the country. You will be able to take home information which will help you immediately.
