LOCATION The U.S. Virgin Islands are located in one of the most beautiful areas in the world, blessed with powdery sand beaches and sun-drenched
weather. The island of St Thomas lies close enough to the equator so that twilight often comes with a brilliant sunset.
St. Thomas is the most cosmopolitan of the Virgin Islands. The scenic and historic capital city, Charlotte Amalie, is the main duty-free shopping area and has been the center of
international trade since the 1600's. Its
deep-water harbor, once teeming with four-
masted trading ships, now plays host to visiting cruise ships and a fleet of sail and power yachts. Dozens of mini islands and cays encircle St. Thomas and add to the impressive scenery.
Our conference resort, the Marriott Frenchman's Reef & Morning Star Beach Resort, is located six miles from the Cyril E. King International Airport, and three miles from downtown Charlotte Amalie, the shopping mecca of the Caribbean. The resort is surrounded by sparkling Caribbean waters on three sides.
The resort has three outdoor swimming pools, three Jacuzzis, a sauna, health club with full spa services, and a lighted tennis court. You can enjoy the outdoor activities of snorkeling, sailing, jet skiing, and golfing, or experience the fabulous historical landmarks and landscapes of St. Thomas like Fort Christian, Mountain Top, Drake's Seat, Magen's Bay, Paradise Point Aerial Tram, and Coral World Underwater Observatory, all just a short taxi ride away from our conference resort. You can also catch a ferry to nearby St. John to snorkel or dive at Trunk Bay.
