CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION

Our 26th Annual Fall Conference on Pediatric Emergencies focuses on many challenges facing Pediatric and Emergency health care professionals. The goal of this conference is to increase participants' knowledge of recent advances in pediatric emergency medicine and to enhance their competence in managing common pediatric emergencies. Participants will be able to update and apply their knowledge and skills immediately to clinical practice through participation in lectures, case presentations and discussions about illnesses and injuries specific to the pediatric population. This conference is targeted at physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and nurses involved in the clinical care of children.

The content for this year's conference has been selected using extensive needs assessment data including past conference participant stated needs, clinical expert input, literature review, and Symposia Medicus' on-line needs assessment survey of pediatric, emergency and primary care professionals.

An outstanding faculty has been assembled for this conference. Faculty are committed to providing participants with current and practical information and were selected based on their individual areas of expertise, their ability to communicate first-hand knowledge to others in a clear and concise manner, their commitment to address issues of current concern, and their willingness to interact with participants.

You're sure to enjoy our 26th Annual Fall Conference on Pediatric Emergencies, while sharing ideas and experiences with colleagues from across the country in the beautiful island setting of the Bahamas at the exciting Atlantis Resort.
